VMware vCenter New Resource Pool Icon is Grayed Out
Okay, it appears that this little nugget will sneak up on you, if you are setting up linked-clone desktops without enabling VMware DRS on your cluster first.
If you setup your cluster by adding the hosts and intend to setup the cluster after all hosts and VMs are added, you may forget to go back and enable VMware DRS.
Just check your cluster settings and make sure that you have VMware DRS enabled per VMware KB Article 1004098.
